Details: this is a 1997 mazda mx5 miata with the 5 speed manual transmission and has 150000 miles. this car shows it´s age but works just fine. the clear coat is coming off which was common on these cars and the driver´s seat has a few worn out areas. the body has a few scratches and dings due to kids and wear and tear. it does burn oil but runs good and is very fast. it makes no funny noises and works like it´s supposed to. on to the good bits. this car is heavily modified in a naturally aspirated form, i.e., no forced induction. this means engine and chassis modifications by bolt on parts and all for overall performance. this is not and never was a drag car. i built this car for the corners and to be more like a gt car. now, for the list -- moderate lift and duration web cams, solid lifter conversion, 1mm oversize intake and exhaust stainless valves with performance spring kit installed, mild head and combustion chamber porting and mods with a bored out throttle body, the block and head are off a 94 car for easier installation of a turbo system, which has never been installed or purchased for that matter, arp brand head and crank cap stud kits installed replacing stock bolts, stock compression ratio allowing 87 octane running all day long, koyo over size radiator and silicone main hoses with a super high cfm flow cooling fan from spal, adjustable cam pulleys for intake and exhaust by unorthodox racing, modified valve cover to allow installation of front drive cam pulley cover for easy belt and pulley acces with all factory parts, modified oil pump for quicker oil pickup during quick acceleration and full throttle operation, super heavy duty clutch assy with 10lb one piece flywheel all rated to 300 lb/ft of torque, jackson racing adjustable electronic fuel controller, jackson racing header, magnaflow high flow cat and cat back exhaust system with paperwork to prove it passes epa noise regulations, stainless steel braided clutch and brake lines, short shifter, enkei 16x8 wheels with 225 cross section tires, jic brand racing coil overs with combined compression/rebound adjusters and separate ride height/sag adjusters with an astronomical range of height adjustment, conservative white gauge faces with red tipped needles, 4 6x9 speakers for stereo, new robbins brand top with glass rear window option and all factory door seals replaced at same time about 2 years ago, optima yellow top battery, new factory window switch assembly for factory power windows, a custom intake that may not be that pretty but works exceptionally well and is a very reliable and sturdy setup, moss motors brand head light replacement kit which makes a world of difference for driving visibility and looks, and probably a few other things i can´t remember at the moment. this car has power steering, no ac, power windows, power brakes, trunk light, power mirrors, open differential and driver and passenger air bags stock from the factory and all intact and proper working order. it is currently registered and has a clean title with no accidents on record that i am aware of. i have owned this car since 2004 when it had 50000 miles on the odometer. this car is not some hard to live with monster, but is very, very quick and fast when driven properly. my 62 year old mother drives this car along with other females. it drives just like stock if wanted to. it has constant service attention and not been allowed to ever break down due to lack of maintanence. it regularly averages 28 miles to the gallon driven between yuba city and grass valley and gets around 31 mpg on the highway if driven nicely. as noted above, it does however burn oil and needs to be regularly checked, which is supposed to be done anyway. it can, will, and does pass smog with some changing of parts and adjustments made to the cam and ignition timing. all stock parts, wheels with almost new tires, and advice on how to get it to smog come with the car. i have invested over 20+ thousand dollars in this car over the years and am tired of spending money on fast parts and need to save for family reasons. in other words, i need the money more than the car. i´m trying to see if i can sell as is just to see, but if no success i will be putting this car back to stock and trying to re-sell at a later date. if for some reason you are serious about possibly buying this car or have any questions, please call dave @ 530-613-3438 or text. price is not negotiable and i will not accept any trades. thank you for looking Location: yuba cityit´s NOT ok to contact this poster with services or other commercial interests
