Details: 1984 Mazda RX-7 GSLI am looking for a good home to a 1984 Red Mazda RX-7 GSL 2DOOR Coupe. The car has 118,629 miles on it. 118500 as purchased by my wife September 16, 2011. She surprised me with it in November as a combined birthday, Christmas, 25th Wedding Anniversary gift. ( She loves me). She bought it from ´Discover Classic Cars´ in Scottsdale AZ. (We live in Battle Creek, Michigan). Unfortunately, I am not mechanically inclined and the car has 10-12 small fixes needed which were not disclosed by the dealership sales person which I will now disclose to you: • The car missing one or two hoses (heater/AC duct hoses from the engine). • The radio / cassette player do not work, antenna port is closed up • It needs brakes, • The rear window wiper motor needs to be replaced. • One of the two rear hatch gas cylinders needs to be replaced. A new one appears to be in a plastic sheath in the car but I have not attacked this. • There are a couple of trim pieces that need to be replaced, i.e. one is at the apex of the rear driver side window near the back of the car. The car runs fine, we took it on a short ride one day last November. That´s when I learned the brakes need to be replaced. She paid $3,500 plus a $299.50 docking fee, plus shipping of $300. The body is in very good condition with only minor issues. No red rust, looks like new/newer tires. Engine is very clean. Interior is virtually spotless and clean. Details: This is a 2004 Mazda 6 wagon. 128,000 miles. I drove it back and forth from Traverse City so its highway miles. I run synthetic oil and change it every 3000 miles and follow all the Mazda recommended Maintenance. I have had Import Tec Of Rockford do all the service on the Mazda. Just Had all the plugs belts and oil changed as of 4/23/12.I get 25 miles to the gallon and more on the highway. The Car is GREAT in Snow. It also has a factory Bose 6 disc stereo system that sounds amazing.it also has a moon roof. This is a fun car. The only reason Im selling it is i bought a new car and i only have room for 2 cars. This is a used car so it does have a few dings and 1 small rust spot on the hood that could easily be taken care of. I´m in no hurry to sell so don´t bother making a low ball offers. Several mechanics said that is nothing to fix, it just means there is a certain noise made when you first start the vehicle, but it disappears within just a minute or two. It does NOT require fixing. I just want to be honest in stating it is there. The vehicle still looks new and very SHARP! Only body damage is a ding in the passenger running board that is only noticeable if you look for it, and a little bit of white transfer paint on the driver´s side, which could probably easily be removed.
