It will not pass inspection as is. There is a hole in the muffler underneath the driver side of the vehicle, it needs a new slave/master cylinder for the clutch, and the switch for the fan (heater) is not functioning. It is a switch issue, the heater works. It leaks brake fluid (although we couldn´t find where it is leaking from and uses a little oil. If you are a handy sort these are minor repairs. Details: $8200 OBO I have a 2004 Titanium Gray Mazda Rx8 for sale, im selling because I have a baby on the way and my wife is freaking out about putting a baby in the back seat. The engine is in phenominal shape, it was replaced under warranty at 96,000 miles and the car now has 116000 on it. The engine has pretty much just gotten broken in and it runs good, strong, and fast. The hood and front bumper were repainted last year. Above the passenger door and the back bumper has some paint damage, I took it to lashlies and they said that it was delaminating (whatever that means) and gave me a quote of $700 last summer, It makes the paint look rough and makes it look light gray. Most people do not notice it over the passenger side. I will send pictures in an e mail. The wheels are after market and are painted black, they contrast with the color of the car very nicely and go great with the tinted windows as well. The tires are Nitto Neo Gen, they have a lot of tread left, about half maybe more, and they provide excellent traction in all weather conditions. I actually drove the car in the last big snow we had with no problems at all. The car has an AEM cold air intake on it to help the engine life and I also have the stock air intake as well if you would prefere to have that. It has upgraded spark plug wires to ensure good spark to the plugs. The ignition coils and spark plugs were replaced last summer. The exhaust system is great with no leaks at all, it is a mostly stock system except for the mufflers. I have a greddy SE (spectrum Elite) cat back exhaust on the car and I get a lot of compliments from all walks of life on the sound that it produces. It gives the car a deeper (but not to deep) tone. The interior of the car is pretty good shape as well nothing major just normal wear and tear from normal use except for the passenger side dash has a 2 inch crack in it that developed this past winter. I dont know how much it would cost to fix because I didnt really look into it cause it wasnt big enough to really bother me at all. The interior is all black with black leather seats and front seat warmers, power drivers seat, sunroof, I pod integration and bose sound system. Um thats all I can think of right now, I coverd all of the defects though, if you have any other question feel free to ask and thanks for taking the time to look.
