The transmission makes a noticeable noise it seems only when it is slowing itself down, not when breaking or accelerating.The car was recently looked at by my mechanic and unfortunately he said there was transmission problems. If it needs to be replaced I have a quote for 1200.00 from a transmission shop I can pass on to you if you are a private owner. I recently had a slip up and my license was suspended for 90 days so I hate to see it sit around when I don´t have the means to fix it myself. I wish I could keep it going as this is my first and only car I have ever had. I have had this car since 2003 and unfortunately I am going to have to let it go. I have had the oil regularly changed in this car every 3000 miles or 6 months, whichever has come first. I have never been in an accident with this car, and after owning it for 9 years I have put less then 50,000 miles on it.
