Their VIN numbers are scattered throughout the regular run Miatas.Collectability? The Mazda Miata M Edition series of vehicles are very desirable and sought after by Miata enthusiasts. Searching for a low mileage clean M Edition and finding one is to may like finding the ultimate Miata. Fairly expensive when first introduced, they can now be found priced as a regular used car, particularly if the seller has no idea what an M Edition is. Further, the well known used car resale value guides seem to somewhat under value what Miatas are actually trading hands for. Most clean Miatas will usually sell over blue book value, that´s not to say you can´t find one at a bargain price though. Details: I´m posting up for sale my 86 Mazda B2000 pickup powered by a 4.3 liter Chevrolet motor. The Mazda body (B2000, LX trim) is swapped over onto the chassis and powertrain of a 1995 Chevy S-10.The body is VERY clean for the age. The interior is in really good shape as well. This is definitely an interesting swap, and I PROMISE you that you´ll never see another truck like this one on the road. It cranks up every time and has been totally dependable. It´s also very easy to work on, and you can find parts anywhere for it, since it´s Chevy powered and chassis´d!The truck has some go-fast goodies on it as well, and here´s a complete list of what´s on the truck:- Chevrolet 4.3 liter V6 (1995 S-10 donor) with heads rebuilt about 20k ago and a fresh valve job on the motor- Edelbrock 4-barrel aluminum intake manifold- Edelbrock 500cfm carburetor- MSD 6A CD ignition- MSD distributor- High voltage coil- 4L60 4 speed automatic trans with lock-up convertor (with switch lock-up) which was rebuilt 30k miles ago with heavy-duty clutches (no shift kit, though!)- B&M vertical gate shifter- Dual exhaust- Dakota Digital dash display (tach, speedo, volts, fuel, oil pressure, water temp)- Sliding rear window- Urethane suspension bushings- Grant GT steering wheel- EBC Greenstuff brake padsThe wiring that you see lying on the passenger side inner fender has since been cleaned up (did have a Painless wiring harness in it, but there was a lot of excess that wasn´t necessary, so that was cleaned up). The truck now has a distribution block for the wiring, so it´s much cleaner looking. You can see a Holley carb on there, but it was removed and now runs MUCH better on the Edelbrock 500cfm carb. That Holley carb was a 390cfm, and just wasn´t cutting it.Interior pics:The switch you see on the shifter is for the torque convertor lock-up. This switch was relocated to the dash switch panel when the wiring was cleaned up under the hood.This truck is in fantastic shape for its age, and it´s got more than twice the horsepower it came with from the factory. It´s a fun little truck, but it´s time for it to go. Totally dependable, and actually gets pretty decent gas mileage for what it´s got done to it.I´m open to offers and I´d like to sell the truck before too much longer.
