Details: 1984 Mazda RX-7 GSLI am looking for a good home to a 1984 Red Mazda RX-7 GSL 2DOOR Coupe. The car has 118,629 miles on it. 118500 as purchased by my wife September 16, 2011. She surprised me with it in November as a combined birthday, Christmas, 25th Wedding Anniversary gift. ( She loves me). She bought it from ´Discover Classic Cars´ in Scottsdale AZ. (We live in Battle Creek, Michigan). Unfortunately, I am not mechanically inclined and the car has 10-12 small fixes needed which were not disclosed by the dealership sales person which I will now disclose to you: • The car missing one or two hoses (heater/AC duct hoses from the engine). • The radio / cassette player do not work, antenna port is closed up • It needs brakes, • The rear window wiper motor needs to be replaced. • One of the two rear hatch gas cylinders needs to be replaced. A new one appears to be in a plastic sheath in the car but I have not attacked this. • There are a couple of trim pieces that need to be replaced, i.e. one is at the apex of the rear driver side window near the back of the car. The car runs fine, we took it on a short ride one day last November. That´s when I learned the brakes need to be replaced. She paid $3,500 plus a $299.50 docking fee, plus shipping of $300. The body is in very good condition with only minor issues. No red rust, looks like new/newer tires. Engine is very clean. Interior is virtually spotless and clean. Details: I have a nice and very clean black 2006 Mazda Tribute 2WD automatic for sale that runs and drives good but needs a little work. First the good:It has the very peppy litttle 2.3L 4 cylinder Zetech/Duratech engine that gets great gas mileage and has plenty of power. It is front wheel drive so it gets around just fine in the snow. The cloth interior is nice and clean with all the floor mats. 6 disk cd changer, all power, air conditioning works good. Has traction control and ABS and alot more I am probably forgetting. I put a new cylinder head and timing chain on it at 115,000 miles. New tires, front brakes, and battery also. No rustThe bad:It uses some oil and has a slight lifter tick like it needs a valve adjusted. #1 exhaust valve I think. It does not smoke just need to top off the oil every 1,000 miles or so. The windshield has a crack in it but it is down low so really not an issue. The horn is not working but I will try to fix that. I have a newer engine with 30,000 miles on it that I was going to install but I really don´t have time anymore and I prefer to work on GM cars anyway. I will sell that also for an additional $500 which is less than what I paid for it. You can call or text me anytime at 574-596-6638. If it does not sell in the next few weeks I will likely put the 30k engine in it and sell for alot more. This is the Mazda version of the Ford Escape and these are very popular vehicles. Details: I have a red 1987 mazda rx-7 which I need to sell, as well as all the parts (excluding the frame) to a rx-7 gtu. The car has pop head lights and moon roof and last time I had it out all of the motors worked just fine. The car needs new breaks, could use a new paint job, and does have body damage over the passenger side rear wheel well. The fuel lines had rusted out in one spot but that has been taken care of at least for now. The car has been in storage for over a year and I rarely had time to stop and start it, and it smoked out the exhaust a good deal but my understanding is that that was just from sitting too long and oil build up in the engine which should be solved by simply driving it to clean it out. Also included in this are all of the parts to a rx-7 gtu, I am not sure what year the gtu was but I believe it was the same year, I do know that the gtu parts will fit on the complete car. I have all the parts to put the gtu back together except the frame, which had a lot of rust and was scrapped. The gtu is the sports package for a rx-7 and included a larger suspension package and some visual parts such as different wheels and a wing. The interior of the complete car now is grey but the interior of the gtu was black and all interior carpets, seats, and anything else are included in the parts. Other parts include engine, transmission, rear hatch glass, driver and passenger doors (assembled), moon roof assembly, front and rear suspension (also assembled), and much much more. I am asking for $3,000 as is obo. Well worth it for so many parts and a good project car. More pictures can be sent upon request.
